    Furniture care and maintenance products

Proper care helps keep your furniture looking beautiful and extends its lifespan. The products you need depend on the material and finish. An oiled wooden table, for example, requires different care than a lacquered table or furniture with a Fenix surface. Our collection includes various maintenance kits, cleaners and conditioners to help you care for your Sav & Økse furniture.

    Maintaining oiled wooden tables

With an oiled table, the oil penetrates the wood, preserving its natural appearance. An oiled tabletop requires regular maintenance, but minor damage is relatively easy to repair yourself.

For daily cleaning, use a clean, well-wrung cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning products and wipe up spills immediately. We recommend re-oiling your wooden table once or twice a year.

With our maintenance kits for oiled tables, you can lightly sand and re-oil the tabletop. This helps keep the surface smooth and well protected. We also offer suitable maintenance products for wooden furniture with a whitewash finish.

    Maintaining lacquered wooden tables

A lacquered wooden table requires little maintenance. The lacquer forms a protective layer on the wood and offers better resistance to moisture than an oiled finish. However, scratches in the lacquer are more difficult to repair yourself.

For daily cleaning, a clean, well-wrung cloth dampened with lukewarm water is sufficient. If necessary, use a mild soap solution. Avoid abrasive cleaning products, rough sponges and harsh detergents. Do not leave wet objects on the tabletop for extended periods, as this can cause stains and water rings.

    Maintaining Fenix tabletops

Fenix is a low-maintenance material with an extremely matt appearance and a soft-touch surface. It is hygienic, easy to clean and fingerprints are barely visible.

For daily cleaning, use a cloth with warm water and, if necessary, a mild cleaning product. Minor surface scratches can be repaired using a dry or slightly damp melamine sponge, also known as a magic sponge. Our maintenance guide explains how to do this.

Care products for upholstery and plastic

In addition to maintenance products for wooden furniture, our collection also includes cleaners and conditioners for other materials, such as upholstery and plastic. With the right products, you can clean and care for your chairs, sofas and other furniture. Always check whether the product is suitable for your furniture's material and follow the accompanying instructions.
