Buying a new sofa, what should you pay attention to?

1. The size and the space
Start by measuring the area where the new sofa will be placed. This prevents surprises and ensures the sofa fits well. Use paper or tape to map out different sofa sizes on the floor to see how they work in the space. You need 60 to 80 cm of walking space around the sofa and 40 cm between the coffee table and the sofa.
2. How many seats do you need?
You can use a seating width of about 60 cm per person. On average, a 2-seater sofa is usually 170 to 190 cm wide. A 3-seater starts at around 200 cm. How many people are in your household, and how much extra seating would you like for guests? Based on this, you can look for a suitable sofa.
